Is a temperament assessment required?
All pets are welcome for a 1hr temperament assessment on their playstyle & sociability. We encourage 1st time boarders to join us for Daycare prior to stay to get accustomed to a new environment.
What shots does my pet need?
Distemper, Adenovirus & Parvovirus vaccination within the last 12 months, & flea, ticks & heartworm prevention administered at least 3 days prior to arrival are a must. Bordetella vaccine is highly recommneded. Latest veterinary records must be provided.
Must my dog be neutered/spayed?
Non-neutered male dogs will be allowed in group play as long as they do not cause disharmony during playtime. Singapore Special males over the age of 7 months are expected to be neutered.
Can BFF administer medication?
BFF's staff are Pet CPR & First Aid trained. We are able to administer vet-prescribed medication & assist to monitor your pet's condition throughout the stay. Please provide a secondary contact & your vet's contact.
What is BFF’s Concierge Service?
BFF staff provides care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If customers require after hours emergency check-in/out, BFF Concierge will be there for you.
Is BFF open on public holidays?
BFF Boutique Pet Hotel remains open 356 days a year, however our office is closed on public holidays & we do not accept Check-ins & Check-outs on key holidays.
Do dog fights happen at play group?
Although rare, dog fights can still occur. Our staff monitor interaction & play to ensure all dogs engage in a friendly manner. Yet, some dogs like to play a lot & wrestle so scratches & injuries can sometimes happen. Having pet insurance is good practice.
Is my dog able to go on walks?
Pets are engaged through the day, socialising, running & playing in temperature-control BFF. We schedule morning & evening walks or visits to the Dog Run as long as the weather permits. Most pets, however, get more than their fill of exercise just by playing indoors.
Why is my dog tired after Daycare & Boarding?
Hotel life can be very exciting, & some dogs play for a good portion of the day & return home exhausted but happy. They may sleep a lot in the 1 to 2 days that follow, & experience some soreness. We call it the BFF Hangover!
Why is my dog thirsty after Daycare?
Some dogs play continuously & hard, & drink less frequently as a result. Over excitement leads to panting, resulting in thirst. On returning home, encourage your pet to drink slowly & in small amounts at a time, to prevent vomiting.
Can I bring my pet belongings?
You may bring along toys, bowl, bed & treats. Toys must not be smaller than a tennis ball as there are pet residents of various sizes. Please refrain from bringing valuable or irreplaceable items. Label all belongings well. Please refer to Covid-19 Stepped Up Notice.
Can you cook for my pet?
You are encouraged to bring your pet's food - kibbles, raw, cooked - to keep him on his regular diet to prevent stomach upset. Alternatively, BFF offers Origi-7 air-dried organic kibbles, made with 100% real meat at $3-8/meal & cooking service on request.
